According to Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition (SPARC), “open access is the free, immediate, online availability of research articles coupled with the rights to use these articles fully in the digital environment. Open Access ensures that anyone can access and use these results – to turn ideas into industries and breakthroughs into better lives”. At Neuroscience Research Notes, we uphold the same principle to ensure that all articles accepted by the journal should be freely available online without embargo and authors retain the copyright of the article. We make sure that both the authors and readers do not have to pay to have their scientific findings published in the journal or accessed by the public. There are no article processing charges or subscription fees while submitting, publishing and accessing scientific articles under Neuroscience Research Notes (only up to 30 November 2022). All operating costs to run and manage the journal are acquired from voluntary contributions from the public. All editors, reviewers and editorial staffs work voluntarily for the journal. The open access exercise is in accordance to the journal’s motto “Liberating and unleashing science for all”.
